What you'll do

Join Viasat's Product Management organization and join a team that plays a pivotal role in crafting our product offerings. You'll help to evaluate markets, seize opportunities, and improve existing products to ensure our world-class teams develop valuable propositions. We are excited to welcome an intern to our team this summer to assist with this exciting work!
The day-to-day

• Assists product managers with market research, competitive analysis, and product strategy development
• Collects and analyzes data/metrics for product performance and reporting to make recommendations to the team
• Builds out automated and manual processes
• Assists in gathering and documenting requirements
• Decomposes a product/feature into discrete tasks
• Identifies dependencies between market needs and engineering capabilities
• Comprehends product decisions impacting Operations, Planning, Strategy, and Finance
• Work closely with engineering as technical peer
• Provides support with data-driven argumentsInternship Program Details:
  • You will work onsite at a Viasat office location for the duration of your 12-13 week internship. Viasat embraces a flexible work environment and onsite/hybrid work is determined by individual roles and teams.
  • Housing and relocation assistance are available to interns pending eligibility.
  • To ensure equity across our intern population, intern compensation is pre-determined based on a variety of factors including: role, location, and final graduation date. Intern compensation is non-negotiable.
    What you'll need
    
    Education Requirements:
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in data science, engineering or a related STEM field
    • To be eligible for this position your final graduation date must fall between December 2025 and June 2026 Internship Dates:
      • You must be available for the full duration of the 12-13 week internship program. Note limited exceptions may be granted. Viasat offers two options based on semester and quarter academic calendars:
        • Cohort 1: May 20th, 2025 - August 15th, 2025 (if hired by March 31st, 2025)
        • Cohort 2: June 17th, 2025 - September 12th, 2025

            Salary range
            
            $20.91 - $56.97 / hourly.
            
            For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $25.96 - $67.07/ hourly
