This resort style property is right on the water with pools, waterslides and the best sunsets in southern California and we are looking for top talent to share these experiences with our guests, are you ready?The Assistant Director of Operations - Rooms, is responsible for overseeing and directing Front Office, Valet, Guest Services, Concierge, Housekeeping, the Marina, as well as assisting with oversight of the Food & Beverage Division.Duties include:

  • Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of the Rooms/Food and Beverage operations in the front and back of the house.
  • Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans.
  • Implement and maintain F&B sales/marketing programs.
  • Direct and oversee development of employees.
  • Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance and salary reviews.
  • Cover and support in Front Office and Housekeeping Operations as needed.
  • Perform daily room inspections to ensure quality and standards are met.
  • Send pre/post arrival guest communications.
  • Drive Hotel Metrics and Financial targets.
  • Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage/rooms operations.
  • Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Implement procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction.
  • Exercise quality control for both Rooms and food and beverage.
  • Maintain Hyatt standards of service and ensure their implementation.
  • Perform daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards.
  • Maintain communications with Corporate Staff.
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures.The salary range for this position is $91,200.00 - $136,800.00. This is the pay range Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina reasonably expects to pay.   • Prior hotel front office experience required.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working in a fast-paced environment.
